They chose sides\, expressed their own views on the slavery question and served in the armed forces. And on one momentous occasion\, a delegation of tribal chiefs made history by meeting in the White House with President Abraham Lincoln. \nThis conference features renowned panelists and will be moderated by author\, Abraham Lincoln scholar and Civil War era political expert Harold Holzer.
