DESCRIPTION:FREE\nJoin HistoryMiami Museum\, Florida Producer Robin Haines Merrill\, and Miami-Dade County Commissioner Daniella Levine-Cava for a special showing of “The Miami River”\, by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Katja Esson. This documentary is one film of a five-part series made for the ARTE Channel in Europe about American Rivers. The film features the history and current uses of the Miami River\, including appearances by Dr. Paul George\, Robert Carr\, members of the Seminole tribe and the Miccosukee tribe. The afternoon will start with a traditional Seminole Pumpkin Frybread and refreshments. Dialogue after the film will be moderated by Commissioner Daniella Levine-Cava and Tim Canova.
