A percussion instrument makes noise by striking\, rubbing or shaking.  Can you name the most common percussion instruments? Spend the morning with us and learn about percussion. Join members of Puerto Rican ensemble Plena as they teach you the basics of hand drumming and rhythms.\n\nHave something you can use to make music with us? Sample: rattle\, drum\, or simple add some dry beans or rice to one empty 16 oz. bottle with cap.\n\nPlena Es specializes in plena and bomba percussion-driven musical traditions that reflect the island’s African heritage.
