Enjoy an entertaining and relaxing ride on the river with HistoryMiami Museum’s Resident Historian, Dr. Paul George, as he recounts the history of Miami. Learn the story of the Miami River from the late 19th century and of the area’s earliest known inhabitants, the Tequesta, all while cruising through Miami’s Downtown. See hidden neighborhoods and little-known sites.

Ticket includes complimentary family pass to HistoryMiami Museum.

Additional Information

The Museum will be chartering the Sunset Lady from Island Queen Cruises, which will be docked at Miamarina at Bayside Marketplace.

The Island Queen Sunset Lady is a 40’ motorized Corinthian Catamaran. The vessel is a partially covered, open air vessel with bench seating. The restroom or ‘head’ onboard may not be accessible to those with limited mobility or patrons who use a wheelchair. To access the head, one most step down a couple of steps. The Sunset Lady has a maximum capacity of 40 people.

Dr. Paul George, Resident Historian

For over three decades, HistoryMiami Museum’s Resident Historian Dr. Paul S. George has toured his way to local, national, and international acclaim with his continuing series of historic tours. Through walking, coach, and boat tour experiences, Dr. George has welcomed tour participants on a memorable journey of South Florida through its historic neighborhoods, landmarks, and sites. As a Miami native, author, and former college professor, Dr. George has gained fame for his uncanny ability to recall the most impressive details about the people and places that make South Florida so unique.
