Law Day Panel-The 14th Amendment: Transforming American Democracy

A historic conversation with renowned panelists presented by HistoryMiami Museum’s 11th Judicial Circuit Historical Society.  The topics of citizenship rights and equal protection under the laws for former slaves will be juxtaposed with hot button issues both uniting and dividing our nation today.  This discussion will be a prelude to a ceremony on Friday morning, May 5, celebrating the naturalization of new US citizens.
