Jean Dondy Cidelca
Multicultural Tourism Ambassador and City Tours Guide

Jean Dondy Cidelca holds a Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture (MLA) from Florida International University. He is certified by the Secretary of the Interior’s Office of Environmental Planning & Historic Preservation as an Architect, Historic Architect, Architectural Historian, and Historian.

In 2016, Cidelca began leading professional tours in Miami, emphasizing the city’s neighborhoods through historical, cultural, and architectural perspectives. Two years later, he founded Tap Tap Tours & Transportation, LLC, where he serves as the Multicultural Tourism Ambassador. The company aims to educate people about their heritage and introduce them to diverse cultural practices, with the goal of giving back to the community.

From 2018 to the present, Cidelca has been the principal lead of the Little Haiti Community Engagement Project with The Association for Preservation Technology (APT). His leadership in surveying historical residential archetypes and documenting their eligibility for designation as a historic district by the National Historical Society (NHS) under the National Historic Preservation Act has been recognized. His implementation of sustainability methods in the built environment earned him the Presidential Citation Award. In addition to his work with APT, Cidelca collaborates with various local organizations, including public, private, non-profit, and educational institutions, designing Museum Exhibition Plans, presenting Arc Delight Architectural Lectures, and curating Tropical Art Fairs.

Cidelca’s role as a Multicultural Tourism Ambassador has been featured in numerous media outlets, including The New York Times, CBS News Miami, Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau, Miami Times, Becon TV, Caplin News, La Prensa Grafica, and BBC News Mundo.
