Resident Historian

For over three decades, HistoryMiami Museum’s Resident Historian Dr. Paul S. George has toured his way to local, national, and international acclaim with his continuing series of historic tours. Through walking, coach, and boat tour experiences, Dr. George has welcomed tour participants on a memorable journey of South Florida through its historic neighborhoods, landmarks, and sites. As a Miami native, author, and former college professor, Dr. George has gained fame for his uncanny ability to recall the most impressive details about the people and places that make South Florida so unique.

Please plan on arriving to the Museum between 12:15 pm and 12:50 pm for check-in. The tour may begin any time after 1:00 pm, so please be on time as Miami’s traffic may be unpredictable. Once the coach has left the Museum, it will be unable to return for late tour participants. We suggest bringing water and wearing sun protection.
We will be meeting in the Museum’s South Building Lobby.
Getting to the Museum
Map of Cultural Center Plaza with nearby Government Center. The Cultural Center Garage and HistoryMiami can be seen in the center of the map.
There is nearby parking available in the Miami-Dade Cultural Center Parking Garage, located at 50 NW 2nd Avenue. Parking is $5 with validation.
The Museum will be chartering a coach from Academy Bus.
