CultureFest 305 2023

Immerse yourself in the magic of our city at HistoryMiami Museum’s seventh annual CultureFest 305, a folklife festival celebrating what makes Miami, Miami! Where else can you experience Afro-Cuban batá drumming, enjoy mariachi music, marvel at dances of Argentina and Serbia, and sample Haitian cuisine, all in one day? Experience this and even more at this free festival highlighting the Magic City’s rich cultural diversity. Connect to your community during this jam-packed afternoon and explore the sights, sounds, and flavors of Miami with performances, demonstrations, and activities for all ages.

Performances

11:00 AM – Association of Performing Arts of India, Indian classical music performance on sitar 

12:00 PM – Milos Damnjanovic, Serbian traditional dance  

1:00 PM – Rocío Leguizamón y Germán Filipeli, Argentine tango 

1:20 PM – DJ Memo of Scratch DJ Academy, DJing and turntablism  

1:45 PM – Mariachi Sol de Oro, Mariachi music 

3:05 PM – Kuyayky Foundation, Andean music and dance parade 

3:15 PM – Ezequiel Torres, Afro-Cuban Orisha batá drum and dance*

11:30 AM – Liliane Nerette-Louis, Marie Romaine Desir, and Marie Reole Moncy, Haitian traditional food demonstration 

12:30 PM – Ezequiel Torres, Everglades National Park, and the National Council for the Traditional Arts, Exploring the natural environment in Afro-Cuban Orisha spiritual practices*

2:30 PM – Sangwon Jeong, Korean Taekwondo demonstration and workshop
