
Group Tour Experiences
HistoryMiami Museum welcomes adult groups to explore the museum’s exhibitions on self-guided and guided tour experiences. Reserve a private tour with a Museum Educator for adult groups of 10 or more or book a self-guided experience at a discounted rate for groups of 15 or more.
For reservations, please complete our online request form at least four weeks prior to your preferred dates. You will receive an email confirming your reservation. For cancellations, changes to your reservation, or additional information, contact City Tours at programs@historymiami.org or call (305) 375-1629. Advance reservations are required for both guided and self-guided adult group visits.

Experience the Museum on a guided highlights tour with your group! Led by a Museum Educator, these thematic tours provide special insight into the Museum’s exhibitions. Enjoy thought-provoking discussion and opportunities to engage with the Museum’s education objects collection. Participants will come away with a deeper understanding of Miami and its history. Guided tour experiences are offered for up to 1-hour.

Self-Guided Visits
Groups are welcome to discover the Museum at their own pace. There is no time limit on your visit. Please note advance reservations for self-guided visits of groups 15 or more are required to receive the group rate.
*Outside tour guides are not permitted to lead tours in the galleries at any time.

HistoryMiami Museum reserves the right to refuse or revoke the admission of any visitor or group whose conduct violates these guidelines.
• Water is allowed in a secure bottle but cannot be drink in the galleries. No other liquids are permitted.
• Strollers and front-facing baby carriers are welcome. Please note that some exhibitions do not allow strollers. Jogging strollers and wagons are not allowed.
• Mobility scooters are allowed.
• Service dogs are welcome.
• Large bags, luggage, musical instruments, electronics, and oversize camera equipment.
• Glass containers, jars, aerosol cans, and liquids other than water.
• Food and drink (other than water in a secure bottle or for medical reasons).
• Any large objects, such as flags, banners, frames, artwork, shopping carts, sporting goods, and recreational equipment.
• Marking materials, paint, adhesives, epoxies, or glues (pencils are allowed)
• Pets or emotional support animals.
• Firearms, weapons, or hazardous materials.
• Oversized strollers, jogging strollers, wagons, bicycles, skateboards, roller-skates, rollerblades, ice skates, helmets, and scooters.
• Selfie sticks, tripods, monopods, drones, and professional video equipment, unless previously arranged and approved by the Marketing Department.
• Plants and flowers.
• Craft/utility knives, tools, screwdrivers.
• Costumes, including masks that cover the full face.
• Any other item that could put the collection or visitors at risk, to be determined at the sole discretion of Visitor Services team.
• Filming of guided tours is at the discretion of the individual guide.
• Unauthorized photoshoots and staged photography (photo/film shoots, modeling shoots, engagement shoots) are not permitted.
• Photographs and video taken at HistoryMiami cannot be published, sold, reproduced, transferred, distributed, or otherwise commercially exploited in any manner whatsoever.
• The Museum reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to withhold and/or withdraw permission to photograph on its premises or to reproduce photographs of objects in its collections.
• Please plan for lines at the entrances.
• Children seventeen and under must be always accompanied by an adult.
• Refund, resale, exchange, or transferal of Museum tickets or Membership benefits is not permitted.
• Visitors to HistoryMiami may be photographed, videotaped, or otherwise recorded. By visiting, visitors grant the Museum permission to use photographs and/or audiovisual recordings in which visitors appear for archival, documentary, publicity, advertising, or other purposes.
• All group participants must check in at the Visitor Services desk, and the entire group must be present at the time of check-in.
• Chaperones must remain with their assigned group at all times, regardless of the group’s age, and are responsible for supervising their group.
• Advance reservations are required for all adult and student groups more than 9 participants.
• Groups larger than 9 cannot join public Museum guided tours. Groups arriving more than thirty minutes after the scheduled start of their guided visit will forfeit their tour.
• The principles of diversity, inclusion, and equal access apply to all aspects of The Museum’s operations, across all categories of individuals.
• Conduct that poses any risk to other visitors, the Museum’s staff, or the Museum’s collection, such as running, rough play, and disruptive behavior is prohibited.
• Leafleting, signature gathering, picketing, merchandise sales, and press conferences by visitors are not permitted.
• Solicitation of business and unauthorized for-profit activity is not permitted.
• The unauthorized playing of music and video, unauthorized performances, and sound amplification and noisemakers (except for assistive-listening devices) is prohibited.
• Keep doorways, stairs, and hallways accessible to other visitors; do not sit on the floor.
• Do not carry children or other guests on shoulders.
• Smoking, including electronic cigarettes, is prohibited in the Museum or near the entrances.
• Use of electrical outlets in the Museum is prohibited.
• For health and safety reasons, shirts and shoes are required.
